Vincent Ricasio (aka “Vinnie”) is the founder of The Art of Lax™ and has been an avid artist and lacrosse player since childhood. What originally started as his final year project in Art School has been turned into a graphic studio for generic and custom lacrosse-themed art. When proposing this project to his tutors he was told “Forget it Vincent – there is no commercial market in Lacrosse Art”. Eight years later, and after much commitment and effort, Vinnie has proved them all wrong and combined a love & devotion for his sport and his art into a successful global business with a unique brand.

“Vinnie Prints” are available for all men’s and women’s lacrosse playing positions in a variety of sizes and framing opportunities as stock items or totally bespoke products, including inscriptions, to suit every requirement and budget. His artwork is the perfect solution for a completely unique expression of gratitude and appreciation to any lacrosse player, parent or committee member. A “Vinnie Print” makes the perfect thank you to a touring team, end of season MVP, tournament trophy, retiring official or coach/manager.

Vinnie’s artwork has been displayed, auctioned and sold at Sotheby’s New York, the U.S. National Lacrosse Convention and the 2010 FIL World Championships in Manchester, England.

A native New Yorker, Vinnie graduated with a BFA in Communications Design from the Pratt Institute of Art and Design in Brooklyn, NY. He has taught art, worked in publishing, print, trade, advertising, online media, sports and marketing agencies while executing commissions as a commercial artist and designer.

Vinnie is co-founder, president and goalkeeper of the Brooklyn Lacrosse Club that competes in the elite, American Lacrosse League.

When not in front of the drafting table, painting easel, or computer, or standing between his pipes, Vinnie enjoys cooking, watching films, going to the gym and reading history books. He loves traveling the world with his family, believing that his artistic inspirations are spurred on by “non-artistic” activities. He lives and works in New York City with his girlfriend, Rachel.
